FAIRFIELD — A new biography that sheds light on “the most influential rabbi in modern history” will be the focus of a community discussion Tuesday at Barnes & Noble.

Scheduled for release on Tuesday, Joseph Telushkin’s book, “Rebbe: The Life and Teachings of Menachem M. Schneerson, the Most Influential Rabbi in Modern History,” has already gotten the attention of historians and critics, according to a Chabad of Solano County press release.

Chabad’s Rabbi Chaim Zaklos and Vacaville psychiatrist and author Joel Fine will lead a question-and-answer session about Schneerson’s life and principles of leadership at 7 p.m.

The rebbe is credited with breathing new life and vitality into a decimated Jewish people after the Holocaust, and he advised leaders such as Ronald Reagan and Benjamin Netanyahu, according to Chabad.

Barnes & Noble is located at 1600 Gateway Blvd.
