Pumpkin Festival returns to Western Railway Museum

By From page A5 | September 18, 2012

SUISUN CITY — The Pumpkin Festival is returning to the Western Railway Museum for three weekends Oct. 13 through Oct. 28, with special trains to take people from the museum to the festival site at Gum Grove Station.

Each Saturday and Sunday, the museum will run trains starting at 10 a.m. and continuing every half-hour until 4 p.m., on a historic life-sized electrical-powered train, five miles to Gum Grove Station.

Rotarians from the Fairfield-Suisun noon, Cordelia and Dixon clubs will provide a hay bale fort, food, tractor rides, music, games and of course, pumpkins, for sale. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit Western Railway Museum and the Rotary clubs.

The Western Railway Museum is located at 5848 Highway 12, halfway between Fairfield and Rio Vista. For more information and ticket prices, visit http://www.wrm.org or call 374-2978.
