SUISUN CITY — The Solano County Sheriff’s Office, the California Highway Patrol and local police departments will be on high alert on St. Patrick’s Day weekend – March 16 and 17 – to crack down on drunken drivers, Suisun City Police Chief and Avoid the 11 DUI Task Force Coordinator Ed Dadisho announced Wednesday.
The task force will deploy roving DUI patrols in several communities in the area, looking to stop and arrest drivers who are impaired by alcohol or drugs.
Dadisho asked people who will be gathering with friends at a pub, local special event or party to make sure they designate a sober driver to get them home safely or contact a local sober ride program to get home.
