FAIRFIELD — People who have moved over the past year must update their voter registration information if they want to participate in the June 3 election.

“Unlike telephone numbers or your mail, voter registration does not follow you when you move,” said Assistant Registrar of Voters John Gardner in a county press release.

To verify that the address on file is current, go to www.solanocounty.com/elections and select the red Verify Voter Registration button. To change registration, residents must submit a new registration form. They can go to www.registertovote.ca.gov for an online form.

Voters can call 784-6675 or stop by the Registrar’s Office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for assistance with their registration records. The Registrar’s Office is located on the second floor of the County Administration Center, 675 Texas St. in Fairfield.

... unless you were in New Mexico earlier this year... then your right to participate in an election will be called into question. Unless you were going to vote for the incumbent Sheriff Ferrara... then you can vote twice!
