No word from Bertani on county supervisor bid

FAIRFIELD — Friday came and went without City Councilwoman Pam Bertani declaring whether she was a candidate for the Solano County Board of Supervisors seat held by Jim Spering.

Bertani said earlier this week that she was strongly considering a bid for the District 3 seat and would decide by Friday. She didn’t return repeated phone calls Friday to announce a decision.

Bertani finished first when she ran in 2011 for the Fairfield City Council. Spering has announced he will seek re-election.

Fairfield resident Alvina Sheeley is the only other person to have pulled papers to run, but she said earlier this week that she wouldn’t seek office.

Please run Pam. I will vote for you and I will place a campaign sign in my front yard. You will turn this state into one big rotting Detroit and my State will benefit from your state becoming even more undesirable than it already is!
