NAACP schedules Covered California workshop

FAIRFIELD — The Tri-City Branch of the NAACP is set to give an update on its community outreach efforts for the Covered California health care program.

The update takes place during the organization’s meeting from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 1745 Enterprise Drive, in the Zoe Building, Room V115. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

“Our community workshops on the Covered California health care program have been well received and well attended,” said branch President Frederick B. Young Jr., who is a state-certified instructor for the seminars, in a press release.

The presentations are being made in conjunction with a statewide outreach endeavor sanctioned by the California State NAACP.
