FAIRFIELD — Motorists on Highway 12 in Jameson Canyon could experience delays Tuesday and Wednesday because of paving work.
Work is scheduled to be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting. The state Department of Transportation will keep the eastbound and westbound direction open, but construction may cause motorists to travel at slower-than-usual speeds, a Caltrans press release said.
People who want to use an alternate route to travel between Interstate 80 and Highway 29 can use Highway 37 in Vallejo, the press release said. Highway 12 through Jameson Canyon is a major link between Solano and Napa counties.
Caltrans is widening this section of Highway 12 to four lanes. Please go to www.dot.ca.gov/dist4/12jamesoncanyon for more information.
