FAIRFIELD — Meals on Wheels of Solano County will participate in the March for Meals Campaign, which seeks to raise awareness of senior hunger and to encourage action on the part of community.

According to a press release from the organization, community members can visit www.mealsonwheelssolano.org and take a pledge to end senior hunger by 2020 – and make a monthly pledge.

Community members and businesses can adopt a senior as an individual or as a group. Information can be found at the website under the “What’s new at MOW” tab.

Meals on Wheels of Solano County has been delivering meals to homebound seniors since 1977. More than 650 meals are prepared and packaged for home delivery or delivery to congregate sites on a daily basis, according to the press release.
