Library in need of literacy volunteers

FAIRFIELD — The Solano County Library is looking for literacy volunteers to help teach adults to read, write or speak English.

A free tutor preparation series begins Jan. 17 or Jan. 19 at the Fairfield Civic Center Library, 1150 Kentucky St. While the preparation series takes place in Fairfield, volunteers can tutor at various local library branches.

Volunteers must be at least 18, but do not need any previous teaching experience.
