By From page A3 | February 02, 2014

FAIRFIELD — The Solano Library Foundation will host the Big Solano BrewHaha craft beerfest on May 3, with about 30 brewers expected to attend with 100 beers.

This event will feature craft beers from around the region. Brewers already scheduled to attend include Heretic Brewing, Lost Coast, Lagunitas, Sunol Ridge Brewery, Black Diamond Brewing, Almanac Brews and Ales, Schubros Brewery, Eight Bridges and Julian Hard Cider. The Big Solano BrewHaha is supported by the Brewing Network, a library foundation press release said.

The event is for those 21 years of age and older. It will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Specialty Events Center, 300 Chadbourne Road in Fairfield. This building once housed Walmart.

Sponsor opportunities and a handful of reserved VIP tables are available by calling the foundation at 421-8075. Volunteers are also needed and they will get free admission for the day. Tickets are available online at bit.ly/SolanoBrewHaha with an “early bird” discount through April 1.

The event will help the Solano County Library Foundation raise money for adult and family literacy programs throughout the county.
