Lake Solano Park hosts free children’s nature day

The week aheadFAIRFIELD — Lake Solano Park will host a free children’s nature exploration and tour day from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Families will explore the park, learn about wildlife on Putah Creek and create nature crafts with natural items. They should meet at the Lake Solano Nature Center at 8685 Pleasants Valley Road near Winters. The Nature Center is on the west side of Pleasants Valley Road.

Register at www.putahcreekcouncil.org or by calling 530-795-3006. Parking at Lake Solano Park is $5 per vehicle, payable at the park entrance on the east side of Pleasants Valley Road.
