WINTERS — A guided nature walk will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Lake Solano Park.

They will talk about the Patwin Indians, the Berryessa brothers, John Wolfskill’s impact on the region, how Putah Creek got transformed into Lake Solano, native plants and wildlife, an event press release said.

Lake Solano Park is located at 8685 Pleasants Valley Road, just off Highway 128 near Winters.

Kanouff and Van Newkoop will be in front of the Nature Center at the west entrance of the park at 10 a.m. The hike is free and there is a parking fee per vehicle payable at the east entrance of the park.

No reservations are needed. For more information, call Karen Petrites at Putah Creek Council at 530-795-3006.
