Highway 12 to have intermittent closures

By From page A8 | February 12, 2014

SUISUN CITY — Highway 12 between Suisun City and Rio Vista is scheduled to have periodic, 10-minute closures through Thursday.

The state Department of Transportation workers are replacing damaged, plastic median posts, weather permitting. Intermittent closures are to be from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Denverton Road near Suisun City and Drouin Drive in Rio Vista.

Crews will close the highway in both directions for 10 minutes at a time, then reopen the highway so traffic can resume. The California Highway Patrol will help direct motorists. Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra travel time, a Caltrans press release said.

Work began Tuesday.
