High-tech bookmobile opens Saturday

The week aheadFAIRFIELD — The 21st century high-tech version of the bookmobile will be setting up shop at the Fairfield Civic Center Library from 11 to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Overdrive Digital Bookmobile is crisscrossing the country in order to teach library patrons how to download electronic library books using the Overdrive application, or to introduce them to the various electronic reading devices available, including personal computers.

The library is located at 1150 Kentucky St. The website Digitalbookmobile.com indicates that this year it will visit 48 states and four Canadian provinces.
