Group seeks volunteers for senior peer counseling

The week aheadFAIRFIELD — Faith in Action is seeking volunteers, 60 and older, who would like to become peer counselors for some of the elderly care recipients in its programs.

The organization is offering an eight- to 10-week series of free training modules. The first training is from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Fairfield Senior Center, 1200 Civic Center Drive.

Faith in Action serves seniors who live throughout Solano County. Volunteers will be matched with someone from their own community.
