Governor reappoints Benicia woman to state dental committee

FAIRFIELD — Evangeline Ward of Benicia will continue to serve on the Dental Hygiene Committee of California.

Ward has been on the committee since 2012. Gov. Jerry Brown on Wednesday announced her reappointment.

She has been a dental hygienist for Dawud Muhaimin since 2009 and for Richard Tabor since 2013. She held previous dental hygiene positions starting in 2007. She was a probation counselor for the Contra Costa County Probation Department from 2001 to 2009 and for the Fresno County Probation Department from 1999 to 2001, a Brown press release said.

This position does not require Senate confirmation. Compensation is $100 per diem. Ward declined to state her political party, the press release said.
