Giants trophy tour makes Wednesday stop in Solano

FAIRFIELD — San Francisco Giants fans can see the team’s World Series trophy Wednesday in Vallejo.

The trophy will be on display from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Dan Foley Cultural Center, 1499 N. Camino Alto. There is no charge.

It’s the second public trophy tour in two years for the Giants, who defeated the Detroit Tigers in the World Series.

The tour has included stops in Sacramento, Chico, Red Bluff, Redding, Mt. Shasta and Richmond. After Vallejo, it will go to New York City, Daly City, Redwood City, Antioch, Porterville, Fresno, Reedley and San Francisco.
