Garamendi joins call for immigration reform vote

By

FAIRFIELD — Rep. John Garamendi  joined more than 125 of his colleagues in signing a petition to compel Republican leadership in the House of Representatives to allow a vote on comprehensive immigration reform, the congressman said Wednesday.

The House comprehensive immigration reform bill is very similar to what passed the Senate with a bipartisan 68-32 vote and already has 200 co-sponsors, including three Republicans, he said.

Garamendi, D- Walnut Grove, who represents the 3rd Congressional District that includes Solano County, said he is convinced a comfortable bipartisan majority exists in the House to pass a comprehensive immigration reform bill but that the Republican leadership has refused to allow a vote.

“Our current immigration system is broken. It’s time to fix it,” Garamendi said in a press release.

Not a peep out of him for months. But now that he is saddled with Obamacare and is facing a genuine threat for reelection he is in the news every other day.Throw him out, voters; make him get a real job for the first time in his life.

John Garamendi has no mind of his own , he does whatever Nancy tells him to do. Im tired of his policys that keep us bogged down here in Solano co. Looking forward to November my vote will be going to Dan Logue.

Refused to allow a vote! Where have we heard that before ? Oh yea the UNITED STATES SENATE Harry Reid blocks every bill put up by the house. I would also like to add to this comment that John Garamendi is a fool and I also will do my part to get him replaced.

That seditious solon Garamendi's idea of 'fixing a broken immigration system" is simply to just open the borders and not even try to stop illegal immigration. Reason---he wants votes from his Hispanic constituents and donations from the hospitality, and food / agriculture industries. That's why and there's no denying it either. Isn't that right, Mr. Editor of the Daily Republic?

I second that motion---all if favor of deporting Garamendi back to Chad, Mali, Somalia and Guatemala say "aye"!
