FAIRFIELD — Assemblyman Jim Frazier will conduct a hearing Wednesday on the Bay Delta Conservation Plan to address financial risks posed by funding of the conservation plan.

“If we are to give serious consideration to the implementation of the BDCP, it is imperative that we first address the significant concerns associated with the proposed funding structure and the unidentified sources that are expected to pay for it,” Frazier, D-Oakley, said in a press release.

The hearing will occur from 1 to 4 p.m. in Room 437 at the California State Capitol, 1315 10th St. in Sacramento. It will address issues that include:

  • Uncertain commitments from state and federal funding agencies.
  • Risks to water ratepayers as a result of inaccurate cost estimates.
  • Economic impacts of tunnel construction in the Delta region.

For more information, call Frazier’s district offices in Fairfield at 399-3011.
