SUISUN VALLEY — An early Sunday morning fire destroyed what firefighters described as a barn or shed containing motorcycles and equipment in rural Suisun Valley.
The fire was reported at 4499 Suisun Valley Road about 3:30 a.m. Cordelia Fire Protection District Chief Jay Huyssoon said flames went about 60 feet high and got into a tree.
“It looked pretty impressive,” he said. “But once we got there and put the water on it, we knocked it down pretty quick.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation, Huyssoon said. He said the structure had no electrical hookup.
The Cordelia district sent two engines and nine firefighters, the Fairfield Fire Department sent an engine and four firefighters and the Suisun Fire Protection District sent a water tender and three firefighters.
