Donors wanted for blood drives

FAIRFIELD — NorthBay Healthcare and BloodSource are looking for donors to participate in a series of area blood drives.

The first took place Tuesday at the NorthBay Green Valley Administration Center and Health Plaza. But potential donors have two more chances to participate.

The second is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 19 in the Solano Town Center parking lot, adjacent to NorthBay Medical Center, just off Pennsylvania Avenue in Fairfield. No appointment is necessary, but signing up for a designated slot can save time. Visit www.bloodsource.com/drives and enter the location code H101 to get an advanced slot for this drive.

The final drive is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 20 at the VacaValley Health Plaza, on the NorthBay VacaValley Hospital campus at 1000 Nut Tree Road in Vacaville. Location code is H100.

Organizers request that donors eat and drink prior to donating blood and bring a picture identification. For more information, call Julie Rottmayer at 303-4016.
