Dixon May Fair tickets on sale

The week aheadDIXON — The Dixon May Fair is offering discounts on tickets and carnival wristband purchases made prior to the fair’s opening day Thursday.

Events that require an additional fee, such as the Destruction Derby, also include fair admission when purchased in advance. Adults can also save by purchasing admission tickets in advance.

Other fair discounts include a reduced fee for opening day and children 12 and younger are admitted free Friday. Adults who bring two cans of nonperishable food items for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano can receive a discounted admission between 3 and 5 p.m. Friday.

New this year is a Best of Show Preview Party on Wednesday. The event includes a preview of selected exhibit halls, refreshments, music from Yolo Mambo and a fine art auction. Preview Party tickets purchased by Tuesday include a single-day admission ticket.

Preview tickets are available only at the fair office, 655 S. First St. Other tickets may be purchased online at www.dixonmayfair.com.
