Day of clean up for Allan Witt Park

By March 15, 2014

FAIRFIELD — In celebration of 46 years in the community, the St. Stephen Christian Methodist Episcopal Church will host a community cleanup project Saturday at Allan Witt Park.

The church, in conjunction with the Fairfield Councilwoman Pam Bertani, invites the public to help paint about 30 benches at the park rom 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The city will provide the materials to paint the benches, and then a cleanup effort will be made for the rest of the park.

“Our ultimate goal is to continue the 46 years of service to community where God has placed us, here in the beautiful city of Fairfield,” said the Rev. David C. Isom, in a press release.

On Sunday, a special anniversary celebration will be held at 3 p.m. at the church, 2301 Union Avenue, Fairfield.
