FAIRFIELD — Solano County is looking for volunteers to serve as jurors on the 2013-14 civil grand jury.
Eligible residents must be U.S. citizens, have lived in Solano County for at least one year and be 18 or older.
The civil grand jury is a judicial branch of the government and an arm of Solano County Superior Court. The grand jury serves as the county’s investigative body and examines such areas as county and city government, special districts and school districts. The jury looks into citizen complaints concerning alleged government misconduct.
Grand jury service requires a minimum of 20 to 25 hours of service hours per week. Service will begin July 1 and run the fiscal calendar year until June 30, 2014.
Jurors can serve two consecutive one-year terms.
