Congressional Art Competition is back

FAIRFIELD — The annual Congressional Art Competition is here again in the 3rd Congressional District.

The competition is open to all high school students who reside in the district, which includes Fairfield, Suisun City and Travis Air Force Base. Students do not have to be enrolled in an art class to participate.

Winners will receive a pair of tickets to Washington, D.C. where the winning artwork will be revealed to the public. Winning artwork will be exhibited in the nation’s Capitol.

The submission deadline is Tuesday at Rep. John Garamendi’s district office, 609 Jefferson St. in Fairfield. Submissions must include student information and a release form.
