FAIRFIELD — Mike Coakley is the newest member of the Solano County Fair Association board of directors.

Each of the five Solano County Board of Supervisors districts has three directors appointed by their district’s supervisors. Supervisor Erin Hannigan appointed Coakley to help represent her 1st District that covers much of Vallejo.

Coakley will fill a seat vacated by the resignation of Katy Miessner upon her election to the Vallejo City Council. His term will run through July 31, 2015, a Solano County Fair Association press release said.

Coakley manages 350 properties in Vallejo and Benicia for Cirimele Property Management. He previously spent more than 45 years in the telecommunications industry, including 30 years with AT&T, the press release said.

The nonprofit Solano County Fair Association was established by the county in 1949 to produce the annual county fair.
