VACAVILLE — Chabad of Solano County invites the community to explore the Jewish perspective of the afterlife in a three-week course that starts Monday.
The Journey of the Soul and the Afterlife will compare Judaism’s take on what happens to the soul after death with the beliefs of other religious traditions, touching on heaven and hell, reincarnation, burial and cremation. Those taking the full course will gather an understanding of Judaism’s beliefs and practices related to death and the afterlife, according to a press release.
The course starts at 7 p.m. Monday at Hampton Inn & Suites, 800 Mason St. in Vacaville, and continues at the same time and location Oct. 14 and Oct. 21. The first lesson is free. The other two require a fee.
