FAIRFIELD — A cat named “Mark Jessie” can be adopted at the Solano County Animal Shelter without the usual adoption fee during April.

Solano County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services Manager Don Ryan and his daughter Mary are sponsoring the fee. The vaccination and microchip fees are extra, as well as licensing.

The animal shelter is located at 2510 Clay Bank Road. Go to http://solanocounty.com/animalcare or call 784-1356 for more information.
