CASA officials plan annual luncheon

FAIRFIELD — Solano County’s Court Appointed Special Advocates program will have its 10th annual Independence Day luncheon July 17.

The event is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Solano Event Center, 601 Texas St. Wren’s Cafe of Vacaville will supply the buffet lunch. There will be a silent auction, raffle and door prizes. For more information and to get tickets, call the CASA office at 421-2272.

CASA pairs abused and neglected children with trained volunteers who advocate for them as they go through the court process. The volunteers work with the children, the children’s attorneys and child welfare specialists. CASA is a nonprofit organization.
