RIO VISTA — One-way traffic controls are to be in effect on the Rio Vista Bridge this week as work crews conduct an annual structure inspection.
Inspections are to be from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. through Thursday. Eastbound and westbound traffic will take turns using the one open lane, with flaggers present to provide direction, a state Department of Transportation press release said. The inspections began Tuesday.
Drivers during the inspection hours should expect delays and allow for extra travel time, the press release said. The Rio Vista Bridge carries Highway 12 over the Sacramento River.
