OAKLAND (AP) — Authorities say a body found last week near a Lagoon Valley Park in Vacaville is that of a missing federal investigator.
Oakland police identified the remains as those of 50-year-old Sandra Coke of Oakland on Tuesday.
Search-and-rescue crews found the body in a woodsy area near the park in unincorporated Vacaville on Friday afternoon.
Coke worked as a capital case investigator for the federal public defender’s office in Sacramento. She was last seen in Oakland days earlier.
Oakland police have identified Coke’s former boyfriend, Randy Alana, as a person of interest in the case. Police say he and Coke were seen together on Aug. 4.
