SUISUN MARSH — Local astronomy enthusiast Jim Jerrell will host a free astronomy night June 27 at the Rush Ranch.

The evening will begin with a 7 p.m. presentation at the Rush Ranch Nature Center. Then, as it gets dark, participants can look through telescopes at various sights in the night sky.

This is the second of six astronomy nights planned at Rush Ranch this year. Future dates are July 26, Aug. 22, Sept. 27 and Oct. 24.

Rush Ranch is an open space preserve located at 3521 Grizzly Island Road in Suisun Marsh, about 2 miles south of Highway 12 in Suisun City. For more information, go to www.rushranch.net or call 689-2639 or 422-4491.

The event is sponsored by the Rush Ranch Educational Council and Solano Land Trust, owners of Rush Ranch.
