By From page A6 | July 30, 2014

FAIRFIELD — A meeting Wednesday of the Bayard Rustin LGBT Democratic Club in Vallejo has been canceled, the organization has announced.

Solano County District Attorney-elect Krishna Abrams was scheduled to be among the speakers. Brendalynn Goodall, president of the East Bay Stonewall Democrats, was also scheduled to speak.

No specific reason for the cancellation was given. No date was set for the rescheduled meeting.

The Bayard Rustin Club formed late 2013 and is named after Bayard Rustin, the civil rights pioneer recently awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama. The club serves the areas of Solano and Napa counties, a group press release said.
