VACAVILLE — Solano County businesses, public facilities and nonprofit groups can receive up to $5,000 through a water-saving incentive program to replace their turf, irrigation systems, fixtures and appliances.
The program is for business water customers and institutional water customers such as hospitals, schools and churches. They can get a free water-use efficiency survey and report outlining water-saving opportunities and eligible rebates, according to a Solano County Water Agency press release.
Eligible sites that are nonprofits or publicly funded will receive a 100-percent reimbursement up to $5,000. Eligible business customers will receive a 50 percent match up to $5,000.
“As California’s dry conditions continue, now is a great time for business and commercial customers to invest in water efficiency for the good of the community and the bottom line,” said Andy Florendo, senior water resource specialist for Solano County Water Agency, in the press release.
Any commercial, industrial or institutional facility that receives water from a Solano County water utility is eligible. Go to www.solanosaveswater.org for details. Contact Cristina Goulart at Cristina.Goulart@ghd.com or 523-1010 for more information.
