AARP tax assistance program offers help to seniors
FAIRFIELD — Local seniors can get tax preparation help this year through four locations in central Solano County hosted by the AARP’s Foundation Tax Aide Program.
The AARP program does not have a specific income limit for those who seek help. It is available to assist older low- and moderate-income taxpayers with an emphasis on helping those 60 and older.
The locations for the program are:
- The Fairfield Senior Center, 1200 Civic Center Blvd., 428-7421; 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays by appointment, through April 11.
- The McBride Senior Center, 91 Town Square Place, Vacaville, 469-6660; Tuesdays and Thursdays for seniors and low-income resident by appointment, through April 11.
- The Joseph A. Nelson Community Center, 611 Village Drive, Suisun City, 421-7203; 9:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through April 9.
- The Florence Douglas Senior Center, 333 Amador St., Vallejo, 643-1044; 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3:15 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays by appointment through April 10.
