RIO VISTA — A ferry in eastern Solano County is down for regular preventive maintenance, the state Department of Transportation announced.
Maintenance on the J-Mack Ferry was scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. Wednesday and continue to 4 a.m. Thursday. It was scheduled to continue at 10 p.m. Thursday and end at 4 a.m. Friday.
The J-Mack, also known as the Steamboat Slough Ferry, provides regular service on Highway 220 between Ryer Island and Grand Island in Sacramento County.
A detour takes drivers to Highway 84 and the Real McCoy Ferry or Highway 160.
