By From page A4 | December 06, 2012

RIO VISTA — A changing of the guard will occur Thursday as new elected city officials take the oath of office.

Mayor Jan Vick, Councilwoman Janith Norman, Vice Mayor Jack Krebs and Treasurer Hale Conklin will step down. Replacing them are Mayor Norman Richardson, Councilman David Hampton, Councilman James McCracken and Treasurer James Nordin.

Richardson will appoint the next vice mayor.

Councilwoman Connie Boulware and Councilman Tim Kubli are up for re-election in 2014.

Rio Vista’s 8th annual tree-lighting ceremony and boat parade will take place prior to the meeting at 5:15 p.m. outside City Hall. The holiday festivities were delayed by a series of storms that moved through the region.

The meeting and the holiday event each take place at One Main St. The council meeting begins at 7 p.m.
