RIO VISTA — An early morning traffic accident Friday left motorists idling on Highway 12 near Azevedo Road.
Mike L. Klubben, 28, of Pinole, was traveling westbound on Highway 12 in his 1991 Honda and drifted across the double yellow lines, hitting a 1998 Honda driven by Nick B. Lagusis, 39, of Brentwood, according to police.
The crash was reported about 6:22 a.m. A regional traffic alert was issued shortly after 7 a.m. Both lanes of traffic reopened at 8 a.m.
Both drivers had moderate injuries, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
Klubben was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. Lagusis was taken to NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield.
