RIO VISTA — The Citizens Coalition for an Acute Care Facility in Rio Vista is moving forward with plans to expand the medical facility for the city’s senior citizens.

The group wants to expand the Sutter Medical Foundation, which provides one treating physician for Rio Vista, and is considering the city’s Business Park near the airport as a location.

The Coalition expects a report from Sutter’s regional administrative group after Sutter completes its growth strategy plans this month.

The Coalition will attend the Chamber of Commerce luncheon at the Nines Restaurant in Trilogy, 1000 Summerset Drive, at noon Wednesday. Glen Groves, Sutter’s Regional Administrative Director, is expected to give a presentation on the proposed expansion of the medical clinic.
