Delta bridge to see repairs in coming months

By From page A12 | April 11, 2014

RIO VISTA — A bridge on a Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta highway in one of the more remote parts of Solano County will be closed at times in coming months for repairs.

The Miner Slough Bridge carries Highway 84 over Miner Slough at the northern end of Ryer Island. Repairs are to take place over three months as crews replace a bridge deck. At one point, the bridge will be closed for nine to 15 consecutive days, a state Department of Transportation press release said.

Work could start in mid-April. Caltrans is to notify the public once closure dates are finalized. Detours will involve using the Real McCoy II and J-Mack ferries.
