Caltrans: Overnight Highway 160 closures end

By From page A4 | March 27, 2014

RIO VISTA — The California Department of Transportation announced Wednesday that overnight closures of state Highway 160 between Rio Vista and Antioch have concluded.

While the highway will be open, Caltrans said motorists can expect one-lane traffic control at various times at the Three Mile Slough Bridge as crews complete work on a $2.98 million maintenance project on the structure, according to a press release.

Work started Feb. 3 to replace the bridge deck and rehabilitate the control house, Caltrans said in a previous press release. The contractor was authorized to close the highway for up to 55 consecutive nights to complete the work, which could be delayed by unexpected weather or events.
