SUISUN CITY — Police could not confirm Tuesday whether a body pulled from the Carquinez Strait by Contra Costa County officials was related to a fatal stabbing in Suisun City last week.

The body of a man was found Monday just east of the Benicia Bridge, according to published reports.

Suisun City police have been on the hunt for Victor Mejia, a suspect in the June 25 stabbing death of Lorena Martinez.

Martinez told police Mejia was her attacker before she died, according to Suisun City police Cmdr. Tim Mattos.

Mejia reportedly took Martinez’s vehicle after the stabbing. It was found on the shoulder of the Benicia Bridge.

Mattos previously said that everything surrounding the car indicated that Mejia may have jumped, but police were on the lookout in case he turns up elsewhere.

An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday.

Looks like the immigration work visa of one of Congressman Garamendi's ''business entrepreneurs here to start businesses and hire Americans'' pals may not get extended indefinatly anymore.

I really hope it is him. He doesn't deserve to live. She was too wonderful of a person to die in that way, and i hope he suffered more than she did.

It was also her fault. Although she was married, there was rumors about her still messing around with mejia. Why else would she be in his apartment complex?

So it was her fault that this guy killed her? You obviously have some issues that you need to deal with. Blaming the victim of a murder for her own death because she MAY have been having an affair is sick.
