TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE — David Grant Medical Center and VA Outpatient Clinic patients and family members will be able to use the Hospital Gate to access the base starting June 26 when one of the lanes is expected to reopen, according to the Travis Public Affairs Office.

The Hospital Gate was temporarily closed June 7 as the base started its summer of road and sidewalk maintenance and paving projects. The work affecting the Hospital Gate is expected to wrap up by July 26.

Hickam Avenue from the Hospital Gate to Ragsdale Avenue is being repaved concurrent with the Hospital Gate closure and is expected to be completed by the beginning of August.

North Gate is slated to be closed from July 27 through Aug. 30. While the Main Gate will undergo paving and sidewalk maintenance from Aug. 31 through Nov. 29, it will not close but have fewer lanes open.
