VACAVILLE — Travis Credit Union will continue its tradition of offering active duty and retired military families a chance to make Internet video greeting cards at the credit union’s Travis Air Force Base branch and the Deployed Spouses Dinner on Dec. 11.
“Operation Best Wishes is an annual campaign held during the holiday season to help military families stay connected in a very memorable way,” said President and CEO Patsy Van Ouwerkerk in a press release about the videos, which are sent to deployed loved ones or families back home.
The videos are up to 10 minutes long and shot against a green backdrop to allow the families making the videos to be superimposed over holiday animations if they choose.
Those interested can set up appointments at the Travis Credit Union branch on base from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., or at the Deployed Spouses Dinner from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Recording session reservations can be made by visiting www.OperationBestWishes.com.
After the recording, Travis Credit Union will email a special password to view the greeting on the Operation Best Wishes website and will also email the password to the deployed loved one.
