Service members with county ties deploy, commission, graduate

Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Karol Kane R. Alcantara graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio. Alcantara is the daughter of Cherie R. and June A. Alcantara of Fairfield.

Army Pvt. Jordan A. Collins graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga. Collins is the son of Carin Collins of Vacaville. He is a 2009 graduate of Fairfield High School.

Air Force Airman Joshua W. Hornbrook graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio. He is the son of Heather R. Hornbrook of Benicia. The airman is a 2014 graduate of Benicia High School.

Caroline E. Kealy has commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army after successfully completing the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program and graduating with a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Sacramento. Kealy is the daughter of Susan E. and John F. Kealy of Vacaville. She is a 2010 graduate of Vacaville High School.

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Jeffrey Madlangbayan recently deployed to the Arabian Gulf, while assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush. He is the son of Nestor and Jesusa Madlangbayan of Vallejo. Madlangbayan is a 2004 graduate of Hogan High School in Vallejo.
