Service members from Solano begin, conclude careers

Navy Master Chief Petty Officer Antonio Chavez Jr. will retire Oct. 31 after 30 years of service to the United States Navy. He attended Armijo High School. Chavez lives in Dixon with his daughters, Stephane and Ana, and son, Victor.

Air Force Airman Thomas Glick graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Glick is the son of Peggy Mayes of Fairfield. He is a 2009 graduate of Sem Yeto High School in Fairfield.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Elizabeth Hanrahan graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. She is a 2000 graduate of Will C. Wood High School in Vacaville.

Air Force Airman Shanten Peters graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. He is a the son of Susan Gamboa of Vacaville. The airman is a 2005 graduate of Will C. Wood High School in Vacaville.

    If I were them, I wouldn't buy a home or retire in this horrible state. This state is not on the side of vets!
