FAIRFIELD — Did you serve your country in Iraq or Afghanistan, Desert Storm or the Cold War? Was it back in Vietnam, Korea or World War II? Or was it one of myriad other times and places where American service members were called on to make a difference in the world and for America?

If so, the Daily Republic would like to share your experiences with our readers as part of the newspaper’s homage to Veterans Day and the service members it honors.

Every year, our country honors its veterans Nov. 11 for the sacrifices they made to protect this country, its people and its freedoms. And the Daily Republic creates a Veterans Day special section to tell veterans’ stories of service.

The Daily Republic would like to chronicle your experiences in uniform and what it was like to serve our country.

Please contact Ian Thompson at 427-6976, [email protected] or write him at Daily Republic, 1250 Texas St. Fairfield, CA 94533 with a brief description of your service and the best way to reach you.
