Samantha Pulig, a junior at Rodriguez High School in Fairfield, was crowned the winner at the Miss Teen Suisun Pageant on Nov. 17 at the Fairfield Center for Creative Arts. Pulig has been on the principal’s honor roll since freshman year and is vice president of her junior leadership class.
As Miss Teen Suisun, Pulig has appeared at the Jelly Belly Tree Lighting and the Festival of Trees in Vacaville, and will also be helping at Friday night’s tree lighting in Fairfield as well as Suisun City’s tree lighting on Saturday. Pulig’s platform was community service.

Julie Ann Wesp of Vacaville received her doctorate of medicine from Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University in West Virginia. Wesp completed her undergraduate work at UC Berkeley, and in July she began her second of five years in general surgery residency at the University of Missouri’s Kansas City School of Medicine.
Wesp’s brother Daniel graduated from USC and McGeorge School of Law and is the deputy district attorney for Placer County.
Her younger sister, Lia, received her bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design from California College of Art, and is employed as an assistant designer for women at the Gap corporate office in San Francisco.
Congratulations to the Wesp siblings, as well as proud parents Steve and Cynthia Wesp of Vacaville, and grandparents Dr. Sam and Betty Tracas and Dr. Joseph and Cathy Wesp.
