FAIRFIELD — Tim Tenne, the man behind the yearly Run for Good, did some more “good” Tuesday as both he and NorthBay Medical Center’s Steve Huddleston presented the city with $20,000 for the Matt Garcia Youth Center.
The Run for Good, more recently called the Fairfield-Suisun Running Festival, began in 2009 as a 5-kilometer run/walk to benefit the youth center. It currently boasts both a 5k and a 10k, and will add a half marathon at its April 12, 2014, event.
“Our goal is much higher than $20,000 next year,” Huddleston said.
Tenne, who participated via conference call, is the founder of the race. He said the race has given the youth center more than $100,000 in the past five years.
