FAIRFIELD — Yippie Foundation has received final trademark approval for its Yippie Yogurt job training shop.
Fairfield city councilwoman and local intellectual property attorney Pam Bertani, who represented Yippie Foundation, presented the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s golden seal to Sherilyn Henry, president of Yippie Foundation, on Monday.
“We are thrilled to have received final approval,” Henry said in a press release. “We applied for the trademark over a year ago because we were concerned that when we had multiple Yippie Yogurt job training shops, someone else would register the name and take it away from us.”
Bertani was happy to help.
“This is such a valuable community resource,” she said in the press release. “You can have a delicious, healthy frozen yogurt and help our deserving young people at the same time.”
Yippie Yogurt is a job training and work experience program of Yippie Foundation, a 501(c)3 local charitable nonprofit. Yippie is an acronym for Youth Initiating Professional Preparedness In Employment.
Yippie Yogurt is located at 1955 W. Texas St., No. 4. For more information, call Henry at 208-0853 or send an email to [email protected]
